So the day been known also as Armistice Day and the day also been known for honouring the people who have been served for the U.S Military forces for the whole war happened before 1919. And it is also been said that the world war ended on 11th day of 11th hour and of 11th month. So this is a very good thing happened and which was wanted by all the citizens of the America and the particular war ended on November 11 in 1919 and the day was marked as Armistice Day or the Veterans Day.
