Veterans Day - The day on which the peace came into the lives of the citizens of the country. It is the day in which the people of the country wait for the whole year so as they will be able to get some relaxation and free time and some holidays from their busy schedule they are been working on from so many years they are doing and going on with their daily routine they work on. The Veterans Day not only provide one day holiday to the people of the country but more than 1 day as for 3 or some time 4 days as been scheduled before.

Fun Fact #1:Veterans Day was once known as Armistice Day. The term comes from an armistice between Germany and the Allied Nations On November 11, 1918 . On June 28, 1919 actually the 1st war war ended during the Treaty of Versailles. The first Armistice Day was discovered on November 11, 1919.
Fun Fact #2:
November 11 is both a State, a legal holiday and a federal holiday for the whole country United States of America and for all other countries also which used to celebrate the Veterans Day from past many years they celebrated .

The original idea behind the celebrations for this holiday was parades and public meetings and also a brief suspension of businesses at 11:00 AM. This is true to this day as a number of parades are held across America as well as speeches are given.

On June 1, 1954, Armistice Day had its named changed to Veterans Day. On May 13, 1938 an act was changed due to this (52 Stat. 351; 5 U. S. Code, Sec. 87a) , which made the 11th of November a legal holiday, known as “Armistice Day”. The primary purpose was to honor the veterans of World War I,to “Veterans” of the country.
